St. Patrick

3/15/2020

I am going to talk about an important person in the history of Christianity. Do you know what day the 17th of March is? It’s a day celebrated for someone. Yes, it’s St. Patrick's day! Saint Patrick's Day is a cultural and religious celebration held on March 17th, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick. So, St. Patrick’s day is to remember his life and death.
Through the story of St. Patrick, we learned two things. One is he  loved  God. Even though he was a slave of the Irish, he forgave all the things they did, and he became a missionary to them. In the same way, as disciples of Jesus, we should have God’s love in our hearts, even if they are our enemies . Second, St Patrick  gave up his own culture and adapted to the Irish culture for the mission.  Like the explanation using the clover,we have to understand the recipients
’ perspectives when we share the gospel with others,. It is an attitude of humility like Jesus’. 1600 years after his death, the Irish still remember him, because he was the root of their faith through his dedicated life. Remembering his life, let’s live  this week as Jesus’ disciples.
